Change...

I told you my plans were tentative!!! I don't have to babysit Sunday afternoon, even though I was really looking forward to it. I'll definitely be in Malvern for church in the morning, if not earlier and stay all day, maybe even Sunday night.

Restaurant City

On facebook... Jordan got me addicted.

Plans for the weekend

3 day weekend!!! Woo hoo! I am at work right now, so it's not really a long weekend for me, but I would just be sitting at home doing nothing if I was there, so I don't mind!

Lets see....

Today: nothing for the rest of the day. Go home and love being with my family. I might make a Kroger trip, but not sure.

Tomorrow: Church, watch Kimberly's kids (her girls are 3 and 9... I'm gonna have so much fun with them!) while she goes to a funeral, leave from her house to be in Malvern in time for evening services, spend Sunday night with my mom.

Monday: Who knows where the day will take me?

This is TENTATIVE. If my mom decides to come over tonight (which she may or may not... we just talked about it) I'll probably get to have a lazy weekend instead of one crammed with something every minute of every day.

Why?

Why do I always take everything so much to heart? I have so many friends (seriously 4 or 5) who have had loved ones pass away in the past week. I feel so bad for them. It seems like it's just been one thing after another this week. I found out last night (from a post on facebook... go figure) that a guy I went to school with in Magnet Cove drowned in Lake Hamilton yesterday. Apparently they were on an island and his jet ski drifted off. He swam out to get it and never came back up. As of last night they hadn't found his body. He was only 23. I barely knew the guy when I went to school with him, but at the same time, I've known him since I was 5!

This makes me think about the sermon I posted about Sunday. Sometimes there are just no words to console family members and friends when things like this happens. All you can do is just be there for them and cry with them.

Ahem...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUU!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR JAINA!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOOOO YOUUUUUUUUUU!

Jaina is four months old!!!

A new milestone

For me, not for Jaina. All my maternity pants are officially too big. HA! I've lost almost 10 pounds, which averages over 1 pound per week since I think this was week 7. Now if I could only make myself exercise... I really love the Wii fit, but I already have to get up too early!!!

American Idol

Kris Allen won. I'm glad he won because he seems like a much better role model than the other guy. Can we please talk about something else now?

AAAH!

My throat hurts. :(

I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow. It's probably just allergy problems, but I can't afford to get sick. I may as well take advantage of having met my total out-of-pocket expenses for the year by February. Having a baby and then an MRI will do that! I have the morning off tomorrow (have to work Saturday) so if I feel like it I'm going to take Jaina around and show her off to everyone!

Sunday, May 17

I swear she's not mine.

Ya know what Greg's kid has learned how to do? Suck on her big toe. I think she spends too much time with her daddy.

*yawn*

Time for my Sunday afternoon nap... the problem is that I usually don't wake up in time for evening services and Greg tends to forget we start at 5 instead of 6 now. Jaina was a good baby this morning! I was actually able to hear most of the sermon! Several people in our congregation have had deaths of people close to them in the last week. One of them was a guy who was 26. He was killed in a motorcycle accident. They announced it Wednesday night right after (within a couple of hours) it happened. The sermon was about how to glorify God through your grief.

We've started having a ladies' Bible study every other week on Sunday nights before services. I had to miss the last one because SOMEONE (I'm sure you'll never guess who) had been crying for about 5 hours straight and I just couldn't deal with her. I have it ordered on CD and I've heard it was a really good one.

Chrystal, we got the pictures. They are adorable!!! I love the one with the baby piano. They're goin' on the fridge as we speak... and I literally just got up and put them on the fridge with a bunch of pink "sweet little girl" and "adorable" magnets! LOL!!!

OK, well I'm off to make a pot of coffee to get me through the afternoon!!!

Saturday, May 16

Look... it's Greg and his cat!

Jaina thought this was the funniest thing ever!

As if I don't have enough to keep me busy...

Let's see... there's Facebook, Myspace, and trying to keep this thing updated. Apparently that's not enough to keep me busy. Today I became an official twitter-er... or tweeter? LOL!

Jaina got her ears pierced! It's the most adorable thing ever! By the time we even got out of the stor and into the mall she had completely forgotten about it. She slept fine last night. She went to bed around 10 and slept until 9 this morning... and the only reason she got up then is because I woke her up! I've not had a chance to sleep a little late (past 6AM) in probably a couple of months! It was nice.

Here's a picture of the earrings, taken with my phone.

So much to say!

I couldn’t post from work for a while. Our tech department sent out an email that basically said if we were checking our email or surfing the internet at work we needed to stop because they were trying to do updates or something and it was slowing everything down.

I got paid today! That means the bills are paid! This May has 5 Fridays so we managed to get paid 3 times this month. WooHOO!

I have an appointment to get my nails done at 11:30 today and an appointment next Tuesday to get my hair cut. I haven’t had a hair cut in probably 3 months. It’s getting to the point of me wearing it in a pony-tail every day because I can’t do anything with it and it takes me 20 minutes to blow dry it. I’m thinking about buying a box of color (actually it takes 2 for my hair) and coloring my hair this weekend. The red I put in it a couple of months ago has pretty much worn off but I really liked the color.

We’re getting Jaina’s ears pierced tonight. My mom is going to meet in Little Rock to get it done. I think Brenda may be going with us. And for all of you who think it’s just WRONG to pierce a baby’s ears… Mine were done when I was too little to remember and I have never regretted it. Now I’m trying to decide if I should get her birthstone (garnet), pink, or diamonds. I’ll probably go with little fake diamonds. I’m pretty excited about this, can’t you tell?

Jordan's blog

My sister now has a blog!!! It's mrsjordanwright.blogspot.com.

Friday, May 8

Oh, no!

It's happening... I just tripped over the dog and called her Jaina.

Wednesday, May 6

AAAH!!!

I'm too crazy busy (should be getting ready for work right now!) to post much but just wanted to say we're all still alive and kickin'. I can't post blogs from work any more (at least for a while) so they might be fewer and shorter. Jaina is as cute as ever and growing every day!!! She has officially outgrown a 3-6 month outfit... one that is still too big in the shoulders but it won't snap because she's so LONG!
