Introducing...

Jaina Mackenzie Keisler was born January 22 at 6:32 PM. There was meconium when the doctor broke my water and then about 6:00 PM I started running a fever so I ended up having to have a c-section. I only went from 2 1/2cm to 4cm after laboring for almost 11 hours so a c-section was the only option at that point.

Getting ready!!!

I didn't sleep much last night. We are getting ready to go to the hospital! We're going to eat at Colton's (so I can eat an Awesome Blossom or whatever it is they call them) before I get to the hospital and they take all my food away. They will not allow me to eat anything after midnight, and my doctor said the hospital food is nasty. I've been having some pretty painful contractions since last night, so hopefully we'll get to the hospital and they'll tell me I'm in labor and he won't have to induce me.

The next time I update we'll have a little girl!

Another appointment

Went back to the doctor yesterday. He said I was dilated to 1.5 (but barely). He is admitting me tonight at 6:30 and will start the induction in the morning at 7:00.

Doctor Appointment

Went to the doctor this morning. He told me to come back tomorrow unless the contractions get unbearable and I'm writhing in pain for more than an hour. OK, maybe not his exact words, but pretty close. If still nothing tomorrow, he will admit me Wednesday night and induce me on Thursday.

Still not quite time.

We went to the hospital. The doctor told us to go if the contractions were five minutes apart. They started last night and have been getting closer together. I had them about 5 minutes apart for about 30 minutes, so we went, even though they are not that painful. The doctor on call said to go home and call my doctor in the morning, so I guess that's what I'll do.

Happy Due Date To Meeeeeee....

Today is my official due date. I've been a blogger for a week and I haven't quit yet! I'm still working, probably will continue to work as long as I feel OK. It's not like my job is super hard or anything.

It's cold. We had some really pretty snow earlier, but (thankfully) it stopped after a couple of hours.

Seriously? Yup, still no change. And, no. I did not throw a fit in the doctor's office over this. I at least waited until I got in the car so Greg would be the only one to witness my meltdown. The doctor said he will induce me on January 22, a week after my due date, if she's still not here. Maybe this is my payback for being a procrastinator!!!

3 days?!?!

Only 3 more days until my due date... We have a doctor appointment tomorrow and if he says "no change" one more time I'm going to BAWL in the Doctor's office until he changes his mind! :P
