Another flat tire. Oh, well. This time I was smart enough to use the roadside assistance on my phone and have someone come put the spare on for me! Calling it an early night.

I'm so ready for bed

Today was a long day. I worked this morning... had a grand total of 27 transactions (in 4 hours). I spent the rest of the day cleaning, picking up around the house, and loving on my little cuddle bug. Greg is sick with the stuff Jaina and I had last week. He keeps asking me if he feels like he has fever... men are such big babies!!! :P

Kara is staying the night tonight. We just got back from swimming (my friend is in Florida and she said we can use her pool while they're gone!). It's seriously bed time now since I can't stay awake long enough to type this...

Flat tire

Yep, that's how my day started. I was late for work, opened about 4x as many accounts as I normally do (one of them was 2.5 million...that's by far the biggest I've ever done!), and left a stack of paperwork to do on Monday... or Tuesday if I don't get around to it. I also have to work tomorrow because I need to take a 1/2 day off on Tuesday and I have to make up the hours somehow. I pretty much spent the last 2 hours at Wal-mart shopping (with Jaina) while I was waiting to get my tire fixed and now I'm working on soup for supper.

My grandpa had his dye test/procedure today. One artery was 90% blocked and another they just said was partially blocked, so they put in 2 stints. He will not have to have any kind of bypass surgery and he should be able to go home tomorrow morning!

Ummm...

I was all proud of myself because I figured out how to write blogs longer than 2 sentences from my phone... and then I couldn't post it after it took me like an hour to write a 3 paragraph blog.

SO...

I forgot to put that I took Jaina to the doctor on Monday when she was sick. She weighs 15 pounds, 4 oz. She has a cold, the drainage from the cold is giving her diarrhea, and I'm assuming it's the diarrhea that is giving her a diaper rash (which, by the way, is a yeast infection and we did get a prescription cream for it). She seems to be almost back to normal now, except for a little runny nose and the rash (which is slowly getting better).

My grandpa's in the hospital. He woke up during the night last night having chest pains. When they took his blood pressure it was 200/180 (at least that's what my mom said) so they went to the ER. By the time my mom got to the hospital it had gone down, but they sent him to Baptist to have a dye test done tomorrow. If he has a problem that can be fixed with a stint or balloon they will fix it then. If they decide he needs a bypass they will schedule it after the test.

Poor baby!

Jaina has a cold... which is giving her diarrhea... which is causing a nasty little diaper rash. You can just tell by the way she's acting she doesn't feel good!

If I don't update...

It's because I'm tired, stressed, and rarely have the time.

Jaina is interested in the Little Mermaid for a few minutes (instead of screaming), so I get some time on the computer!!!

We have no teeth yet, but they are on their way! Jaina has figured out how to sit up on her own. She can't do it for more than a few minutes by herself, but she's getting there. I hear a little fussy baby...

I'll do better!

I will never complain about people not blogging often enough again. I am just sooo busy! We're all still surviving. Jaina is the cutest thing EVER! She's all giggles and smiles all the time.

OK, I have to leave for work NOW if I'm going to get there on time. At least there's no school traffic.

Can't think of a name.

I got to sleep in! It seems like the first time in FOREVER. Jaina slept till about 10:00... almost 12 hours. I'm not sure that's good for her but I figured she would wake up when she's hungry.

My mom wants to put Jaina in the Brickfest pageant. We'll see. I don't even know when Brickfest is! Isn't it usually in June? I'm sure she would win... she's too cute not to!!!!! I'm sure all parents think that about their kids.

That's all I can think of. Pretty lame, huh?

Update

We're all still alive.

Jaina had her 4 month appointment last week. She's perfect! No more "slightly flat head on one side." She's in the 47th percentile on weight and the 88th percentile on height. I can't remember head circumference, but I think it's close to 40th percentile.

That's about all you get for now, since I have to leave for work in 5 minutes!

Oh, and I can't find my camera, so let me know if you know where it is.

I told you my plans were tentative!!! I don't have to babysit Sunday afternoon, even though I was really looking forward to it. I'll definitely be in Malvern for church in the morning, if not earlier and stay all day, maybe even Sunday night.

Plans for the weekend

3 day weekend!!! Woo hoo! I am at work right now, so it's not really a long weekend for me, but I would just be sitting at home doing nothing if I was there, so I don't mind!

Lets see....

Today: nothing for the rest of the day. Go home and love being with my family. I might make a Kroger trip, but not sure.

Tomorrow: Church, watch Kimberly's kids (her girls are 3 and 9... I'm gonna have so much fun with them!) while she goes to a funeral, leave from her house to be in Malvern in time for evening services, spend Sunday night with my mom.

Monday: Who knows where the day will take me?

This is TENTATIVE. If my mom decides to come over tonight (which she may or may not... we just talked about it) I'll probably get to have a lazy weekend instead of one crammed with something every minute of every day.

Why?

Why do I always take everything so much to heart? I have so many friends (seriously 4 or 5) who have had loved ones pass away in the past week. I feel so bad for them. It seems like it's just been one thing after another this week. I found out last night (from a post on facebook... go figure) that a guy I went to school with in Magnet Cove drowned in Lake Hamilton yesterday. Apparently they were on an island and his jet ski drifted off. He swam out to get it and never came back up. As of last night they hadn't found his body. He was only 23. I barely knew the guy when I went to school with him, but at the same time, I've known him since I was 5!

This makes me think about the sermon I posted about Sunday. Sometimes there are just no words to console family members and friends when things like this happens. All you can do is just be there for them and cry with them.

Jaina is four months old!!!

A new milestone

For me, not for Jaina. All my maternity pants are officially too big. HA! I've lost almost 10 pounds, which averages over 1 pound per week since I think this was week 7. Now if I could only make myself exercise... I really love the Wii fit, but I already have to get up too early!!!

Kris Allen won. I'm glad he won because he seems like a much better role model than the other guy. Can we please talk about something else now?

AAAH!

My throat hurts. :(

I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow. It's probably just allergy problems, but I can't afford to get sick. I may as well take advantage of having met my total out-of-pocket expenses for the year by February. Having a baby and then an MRI will do that! I have the morning off tomorrow (have to work Saturday) so if I feel like it I'm going to take Jaina around and show her off to everyone!
